Description of the job

A vacancy for an Internship - Improvement of Source and Noise Models for the Acoustic Design of Nacelles (m/f) has arisen within Airbus (Commercial Aircraft) in Toulouse.
The successful candidate will join the Acoustic department.
This internship will start on 4th September 2017 (date subject to some flexibility) and is for a duration of 6 months.
Within the Acoustic department, you will work on the improvement of attenuation predictions of acoustic treatments and on the assumption of the noise sources in order to reduce aircraft and engine noise.

Tasks & accountabilities

Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:

  • Managing the bibliography.
  • Managing the improvement of noise source models.
  • Assessing the impact of assumptions on the acoustic design of the nacelle.

Required skills

The successful applicant will have the following skills and experience:

  • Educated to a 5-year degree level (or equivalent) in this field or a related discipline.
  • Knowledge of Acoustics
  • Basic knowledge of Matlab
  • Knowledge of Linux
  • Basic knowledge of turbomachines
  • Good summary skills, team spirit, and open-minded
  • Language skills: Intermediate level of English.
  • Intermediate level of French.
