Description of the job

An apprenticeship in Beluga XL Systems Development and Testing (m/f) has arisen within Airbus Commercial Aircraft in Toulouse (Saint-Martin).

Within a team of ten people, you will join the Beluga XL Overall Systems Design department in charge of the definition, development and certification of all Beluga XL systems (cargo loading system).
By interfacing with a transnational team, you will work in a multi-cultural environment and as close as possible to the product. Your mission will mainly be to develop and test new systems of electro-mechanical equipment for the Beluga XL.

This apprenticeship will start in September 2017 (date subject to some flexibility) and is for a duration of 12 months.

Tasks & accountabilities

Your main activities will include:

  • Monitoring developments and carrying out the associated tests (laboratory, test benches, aircraft, etc.)
  • Following up suppliers during the development phase
  • Updating the design of the CLS equipment
  • Drafting test reports
  • Identifying and analysing malfunctions and proposing solutions

This role will involve some business-travel in Europe and you must be able to travel accordingly.

Required skills

You have the following skills and experience:

  • 4-year degree (or equivalent) in the electro-mechanical field or a related discipline
  • Knowledge in electrical and electronic fields
  • English: advanced level
  • French and/or German would be a plus
  • Functional skills: Independent, ability to work in a team, good interpersonal skills
